The proposed New Phnom Penh International Airport (NPPIA) in is located in the southern part of Kandal Stueng County (east of National Road No.2) and covers an area of approximately 2,600 hectares (26 square kilometers) with an initial planned area of approximately 50 square kilometers. The planning content mainly includes three special plans, such as regional integrated transportation, regional water supply and drainage, regional rivers and flood control.
