The Wanping expressway is an important part of Shanghai-Shanxi expressway, with a total length of 150.8km. It starts from Xindian, Wolong district, Nanyang City, connects with Xinyang-Nanyang expressway, passes through Wolong district, Zhenping, Neixiang and Xixia District, ends at the junction of Henan and Shanxi in Xiping Town, Xixia County, and connects with Shangzhou-Henan-Shanxi expressway. Standard two-way six lane (reserved outside), subgrade width 35 meters, design speed 120 km/h, divided into Nanyang to Neixiang, Neixiang to Xiping sections. Wanping expressway has 2 service areas, 1 parking area, 16 tunnels, 2 grand bridges, 101 long bridges and medium bridges, 364 channel culverts, 8 interchanges, 20 grade separations and 15 overpasses.

Entrusted by the Wanping Expressway Management Office of Henan Provincial Department of transportation, Henan Joywin Engineering Testing Technology Co., Ltd. carried out pavement damage, rutting, flatness, deflection and skid resistance tests on Wanping section of Shanghai-Shanxi expressway in 2013.
