Zhengzhou airport to Zhoukou Xihua expressway is a new planning project in Adjusted Henan Expressway Network Planning. The project is located in the hinterland of Henan Province, passing through Zhengzhou, Kaifeng, Xuchang and Zhoukou city. It is an important supporting project to achieve the goal of 6600 km expressway in Henan Province in 2015.

The recommended route of the project starts from the north of Guandu Town, Zhongmou County, connects Lianyungang-Horgos expressway, crosses Zhengkai Intercity Railway, crosses Longhai railway and Zhengzhou-Minquan expressway, intersects with the proposed east extension of Yingbin Avenue, and ends with the phase I from Zhengzhou airport to Zhoukou Xihua. The total length is 45.188 km, including 40.35 km in Zhongmou and 4.838 km in Weishi. The design speed of the project is 120km/h, two-way six-lane, and the subgrade width is 34.5m. There are 5 long bridges, 6 medium bridges, 10 culverts, 5 interchanges, 40 grade separations, 77 passages and 1 overpass. There are 4 ramp toll stations, 1 service area, 1 monitoring sub center, 1 traffic emergency response center and 1 maintenance work area in the project.
