On the morning of November 28, 2023, the opening ceremony of the Ningling-Shenqiu section of the Puyang-Hubei Yangxin Expressway, designed by the first municipal design institute of our company, was held at the Xuandong New Area Station in Shangqiu City, Henan Province, and the front square of the Dangcheng West Station in Zhoukou .
The Ningling-Shenqiu section of the Puyang-Yangxin Expressway is a key project of Henan Province's "Double Thousand Project" and "13445 Project". The starting point is located at the intersection of the Sanzhangsi village west of Ningling County, Shangqiu City, and G310, passing through Su County, Zhecheng County, Luyi County, Dancheng County, Shenqiu County from south to north, and ending at the south of the Shaying River in Shenqiu, connecting to G329. It passes through 3 cities (directly managed counties) and 6 counties, with a total length of 153.2 kilometers, accounting for 49% of the total mileage of 312 kilometers of expressways opened in Henan Province in 2023. The total investment of the project is 13.17 billion yuan, with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour, dual 4-lane, connecting 5 existing expressways such as Lianyungang–Khorgos Expressway, Shangqiu-Dongfeng Expressway, Shangqiu-Zhoukou Expressway, Yancheng–Luoyan Expressway, and Nanjing–Luoyang Expressway. There are a total of 10 toll stations, 4 service areas, and 1 monitoring sub-center along the line.
This project, as a provincial longitudinal encryption channel between Jinan–Guangzhou and Daqing–Guangzhou two national expressways, has improved the provincial channels of Henan, Shandong, Anhui, and Hubei, and connected 5 existing expressways in Henan, as well as more than 10 provincial roads and other local main lines, forming a new pattern of the cross high-speed road network, greatly easing the traffic pressure of the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway in Henan, accelerating the north-south flow of logistics, and greatly meeting the travel needs of the people along the line. It plays an important role in promoting the construction of the main artery of the transportation network in eastern Henan and deeply implementing the rural revitalization strategy.
At the same time, the official opening and operation of this project means that Dancheng County, the last county in Henan Province without expressway access, has officially entered the "Expressway Era", achieving the construction goal of "Expressway Network to Every County" in the whole province.
