On April 16th, our company's first intelligent cloud-based unmanned toll station in the province was successfully piloted and opened for operation at the Lankao West Precision Demonstration Toll Station on the Kaifeng-Jinan Expressway, constructed by Kaifeng Construction Engineering Group. Song Huadong, Inspector-General of the Department, Chen Weizhong, Standing Committee Member of the Kaifeng Municipal Committee, and Xue Zhiyong, Deputy Mayor, attended the opening ceremony.

　　This project was led by the Intelligent Transportation and Information Engineering Design Institute (after this referred to as the "Intelligent Transportation Institute"), and jointly completed by the Urban Construction Division (Municipal Design Institute II), the Construction Division (formerly the Architectural Planning Institute), and the Survey Division (formerly the Survey and Design Institute).

　　The Lankao West Standard Demonstration Toll Station has undergone an upgrade and transformation through the implementation of "integrated intelligent terminals + modular assembly construction + streamlined operational services." It has introduced technologies such as intelligent cloud cabins, digital twins, and pre-transaction on-ramp systems, becoming the first precise demonstration toll station in the province to feature unmanned and unattended narrow island design, free-flowing exits with pre-transaction on-ramp systems, and a cloud-based toll management platform utilizing multi-source perception through digital twin technology. The operation of this toll station enables smarter, more efficient, and convenient travel on the expressway, significantly enhancing the operational capability and smart operation image of Henan Province's highway network and integrated services.

　　Highlight 1: The new concept of "Narrow Island" helps to prevent toll stations from becoming bottlenecks

　　Through the " Narrow Island " design of toll lanes, the toll station is expanded from the original "2 in 3 out" 5-lane mode to the "4 in 4 out" 8-lane mode. By setting up IP-based and intensive intelligent equipment, full coverage of self-service intelligent lanes is achieved, effectively improving the traffic capacity of toll stations.

　　Highlight 2: Management personnel are placed in front and toll personnel are placed in the back, realizing the gorgeous transformation from "three-foot guard booth" to "smart cloud cabin"

　　The construction of the smart cloud cabin realizes the separation of toll business and control business, the front-end lane self-service intelligence, the toll island is booth-free, and the back-end special situation handling is centralized and standardized, realizing the management personnel in front and the toll personnel in the back, effectively improving the work efficiency of personnel.

　　Highlight 3: The ramp free flow pre-trading system speeds up vehicle traffic

　　The ramp-free flow pre-trading system trades space for time. Without affecting other systems, a pre-trading ETC gantry is set up at the ramp to trade ETC vehicles passing through the ramp in advance, identify and induce vehicles in advance, shorten the vehicle travel time in the toll lane, and effectively improve the traffic efficiency of the toll station.

　　In the future, the Intelligent Transportation Institute will provide project coordination and design services, adhere to the company's concept of "standardization, innovation, quality and harmony", use innovation to increase development advantages, assist the company's intelligent information business development, and contribute design strength to the digital transformation and development of Henan Province's transportation infrastructure.
