Led by Chang Xingwen, Chairman of Henan Communications Planning & Design Institute Co., Ltd. (referred to as HNDI), and with the participation of ten bridge engineers from the Institute's senior, middle-aged, and young generations, the book "Henan Bridges", which has been reviewed by Chinese engineering design master Wang Yongzhong, has recently been published and distributed by People's Transportation Publishing House. This book systematically introduces the main technological innovations and typical bridges of Henan bridges since the founding of the People's Republic of China.
“Henan Bridges” summarizes the pioneering work of several generations of bridge engineers in Henan Province in the development of bridge engineering technology in China. It serves as a history of the development of bridge technology in Henan and a specialized reference book on bridge technology. The book vividly portrays a magnificent journey of technological development in Henan's bridge engineering, outlining the development of the Yellow River bridges in Henan. It focuses on the descriptions of the explorations, efforts, and contributions made by Henan's bridge engineers in various technologies, such as drilled pile foundations, prestressed concrete bridges, long-span arch bridges, cable-stayed bridges, suspension bridges, composite beams with corrugated steel webs, large-span composite beams with steel and concrete, and structural damage identification based on clustering analysis of structural damage patterns. It is hoped that the publication of this book will contribute to the development of bridge technology in China and provide innovative ideas for future development. This book is dedicated to the dedicated researchers of HNDI who have worked tirelessly for sixty years!
