"A bright mirror reflects the true form, and ancient events inform the present." History is the most vivid and convincing textbook. To commemorate the company's 60th anniversary, the book "Footprints·Road" compiled by HNDI was recently officially published by Henan People's Publishing House.

　　The book "Footprints and Roads" depicts, with a documentary-style narrative, the development of the transportation industry at both the national and provincial levels since the establishment of HNDI. It chronicles the institute's journey from being a second-level departmental institution of the provincial government when it was founded in 1964, to its transformation into a state-owned mixed-ownership limited liability company with equity participation in 2007, then to its complete transition into a joint-stock limited company in 2015, and finally, its successful listing in 2017, becoming the first publicly traded design and consulting enterprise in the Central China region. This remarkable development trajectory showcases the institute's growth from scratch, from a small entity to its current prominence.

　　Over the past sixty years, the establishment of HNDI has resonated with the development of the times, going through different stages such as departure, climbing, acceleration, and high-quality development. It has witnessed the ups and downs of social and economic development and has become an important witness to history. At each stage, generations of researchers have always explored and moved forward with a cautious and open attitude, practicing their mission with a high and upward fighting spirit, and making important contributions to the construction of engineering infrastructure in Henan Province and even the whole country, especially the leapfrog development of transportation industry.
