Survey and design, 2016.8-2017.2
The project aims to reconstruct the National Highway N8 as a Class-I road with two-way, four-lane, and slow lane on both sides, design speed of 80km/h. The fully enclosed highway is access-controlled and connects to the Padma Bridge at both ends. The total length of the project is 49.5 km, and it was divided into two sections: the first section is Dhaka-Mawa, with a length of 29.1 km; the second section is Mawa-Bhanga, with a length of 20.4 km. The whole project is located on the plains, starting with the first China-Bangladesh friendship Buriganga Bridge in Daka and ending at the intersection of Bhanga on the N8 road, excludes the Padma Bridge and its approaching roads. The specialities evolved are: geomatics, geological survey, road geometry, subgrade, pavement, bridge, culverts, safety facilities, environmental protection, riverbank protection and engineering economy. Totally 14 at-grade intersections were designed.
