The construction of Yongshun-Jishou expressway is the need to further promote the western development strategy and promote the exchanges between Hunan and Hubei provinces. The proposed project connects Enshi-Laifeng expressway planned by Hubei Province in the north and Jishou-Chadong expressway in the south. The construction of Yongshun-Jishou expressway is the need to accelerate the development of ethnic areas and promote ethnic unity. Yongshun-Jishou expressway is built according to the standard of four-lane expressway, with design speed of 80km/h and subgrade width of 24.50m. The total length of the main line is 27.957km, and the proportion of bridges and tunnels is 58.514%.
